La Cala Resort, the largest golf complex in Spain, is an exclusive residential and recreational estate of approximately 1,000 acres situated on the famous Costa del Sol between the Sierra de Mijas Natural Park and the Mediterranean.

The principal facilities within the estate include a luxury hotel, Caracala Spa, the commanding clubhouse, three 18-hole golf courses and a six hole par 3 'executive' course. The hotel commands a central position between the La Cala golf courses and the 107 bedrooms and suites boast breathtaking views. Beautifully decorated, they maintain the traditional Andalusian architectural style whilst offering the luxury of satellite TV, electronic safe, hairdryer, direct dial telephones, central heating, air conditioning, minibar and bathrooms complete with underfloor heating. For those in search of the perfect combination of business and pleasure, the complex offers a range of conference rooms with capacity for up to 226 people.
The three 18-hole courses offer different challenges. Campo America hosted the Ladies European Tour Q-school in 2005 and 2006. It is longer than the tight, challenging Campo Asia. This course welcomed the top Spanish professionals in 2007 for 18th PGA Spanish Pairs Championship, won by Miguel Ángel and Andrés Jimenéz. Campo Europa opened in 2005 and has already drawn much favourable comment from the top players who regularly play and practice in La Cala.
The par 3 course offers a great opportunity for beginners and experienced players alike to practice. It is quite challenging and offers views to the Mediterranean. The David Leadbetter Academy has covered and grass driving bays and the team of teaching professionals can design a teaching plan specially tailored for your needs. Advanced technologies available include Europe’s only Taylor Made Performance Lab, a SAM putting lab, zeno LINK biomechanics analysis, etc. There is also a practice green and a club-fitting service for any important equipment adjustments.

La Cala is very much a sports-oriented resort. We have three 18-hole championship golf courses, a quality par 3 course and host the only David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Spain. We have a full-size FIFA approved football pitch and attendant facilities, floodlit tennis courts, squash court and a fully-equipped gymnasium. We can also organise treks in the nearby mountains, mountain bike trips or horse riding.
The Costa del Sol is an outdoor sports playground with all tastes catered for. We are just minutes from the Hippodrome in Mijas with its weekly race meetings or the Mediterranean with its wide range of water sports.
