Golf Courses in Spain
Course Summary: Par 72

The Club de Golf Sotogrande was founded in 1964 and is located in a perfectly natural surrounding for the playing of golf throughout the year. Its designer, Robert Trent Jones was particularly proud of his work on this course. Anyone who has played the course will be able to confirm it is a very special design, its beauty enhanced by the varied vegetation. It is regularly featured among Europe’s top 10 courses. Sotogrande is a member’s course but has a small “window” for visitors. It has matured beautifully with trees surrounding luscious fairways. A good test for the golfer with water hazards being the feature.

The mature trees and natural vegetation that follow the wide luscious fairways enhance the beauty, which make this a pleasure
to play. The holes are varied with a good mixture of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty particularly where the water starts to encroach on to the course. This is particularly noticeable towards the end of the round and it has the ability to ruin a good card. There are strategically placed bunkers, water hazards and the fast greens do not make it any easier. The course is challenging for all standards.
