Designed by renowned course designer Antonio Garcia Garridos from Málaga, Doña Julia is another first class addition to the collection of courses in this part of Andalucia. Opened in 2006 this will be a very popular choice to play as it is situated close to the A7/N340 and also near to other courses in the vicinity, La Duquesa, Estepona and La Cañada among others.
The golf course has two very different layouts, being suitable for any type of player. The first 9 holes are longer and more difficult winding between indigenous trees, lakes and rivers while the back 9 are more manageable, having a gentle incline, and being within close proximity to the Sea. Doña Julia has been
built according to United States Golf Association (USGA) rules and regulations with regard to the tees, bunkers, drainage and greens. The most notable feature of the course is the extensive size of the greens. An undoubted challenge for all levels of golfers to enjoy.
